People coming in for a morning pick-me-up at the Tim Hortons were in for a surprise. As part of the Tim Hortons Camp Day promotion on June 6, Garrison Petawawa Command Teams took over the serving responsibilities. This annual tradition sees 100 per cent of proceeds from all coffee purchases go towards sending kids from low-income families to Tim Hortons Camps. Under Manager Velma Parsons’ eye (centre), (from left) 4th Canadian Division Support Group (4 CDSG) Commander Colonel Louis Lapointe, 4 CDSG Chief Warrant Officer CWO Tom Verner, 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (2 CMBG) Brigade Sergeant Major Chief Warrant Officer Shawn Mercer and 2 CMBG Commander Colonel Michael Wright quickly learned how to make a good cup of coffee.
