A great tradition returned to Petawawa: the annual Civic Centre Days. Held June 14 to 17, the event featured a variety of different activities to suit all ages and tastes. Hundreds of people came out and enjoyed the midway, food vendors, a kids fishing derby, the slopitch tournament, euchre, a dance, buskers, Lobsterfest, an antique car show, a Craft Beer Festival and more. The four-day festival of fun is made possible through community support, the Petawawa Parks and Recreation staff and volunteers.

The library brought back its giant book sale just in time for Civic Centre Days. With hundreds if not thousands of books to search through, Addison Potts, 8, had her literary work cut out for her.
