New Information for 2018/2019 Occupational Transfer Programs

Every year the Petawawa Personnel Selections Office (PSO) assists over 200 members with their Occupational Transfer (OT) applications. If you are considering an OT for 2018/2019, there is important information that you need to be aware of and some big changes from previous years.

Most notably, the deadlines to have your completed file to the PSO is now earlier than in the past.

The PSO will now require your application on 12 October 2018 for MP, Sar Tech, ACSO, PLT, AEC, PAO and MPO and for all other trades the deadline will be 9 Nov 2018. Applicants are encouraged to have their files to the PSO well in advance of these deadlines, as late or incomplete applications will be returned and will not be processed.

The application process has also changed. Our systems are now semi-electronic, meaning Orderly Rooms will now have to send your file to us electronically, but hand carry your pers file. This also means that there is new and improved paperwork.

If you are wondering what the next steps are, we invite you to attend one of Information Sessions. These Info Sessions are held several times a month and will give you all the information you need to know about completing your application. A PSO will sit with you at the end of your session to determine if you are eligible for the trade you wish to apply for.
