News from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club
Well here I am with just a bit of news from The Greater Petawawa Civitan Club. On Sunday, May 27 at our Bingo we once again came to the need of those who seek our help.
Civitan President Brian Miner presented Bob MacKenzie with a $500 cheque for Ducks Unlimited for the Kids Fishing Derby. The Greater Petawawa Civitan Club has been sponsoring this event for 20 years.
Civitan Miner then presented Britney Robins from PSP Community Recreation with a cheque of $711.36 to help send a child with Special Needs to Summer Camp. A cheque for $1,000 was presented to Riley Maher and her grandfather Edward Yahnke for the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation Walk-A Thon. Riley has had Diabetes since she was just a baby.
So you can see that when you support The Greater Petawawa Civitan Bingo, you are helping us help those who need it.
As this is one of those times I don’t have much to say, I hope that you come on out see what the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club volunteers are doing and if you want to help out in some small way, let us know.
That’s all for now - God Bless and be happy.
Thought for the week: If someone asks for a crust of bread, offer them a meal and drink.
