On behalf of the Branch Executive and the general membership, I’d like to thank the Congregation from the St George’s Chapel and Tim Horton’s Petawawa for their kind monetary donations, it is indeed very much appreciated. It is people and organizations like these that help us a great deal to maintain the status that we have within the community and for us to also help others in the community in any way we can. When the people of the community work together and help one another, and with so many donations that I have seen over the years, it shows that we have a strong and caring town full of people in Petawawa. For that I am thankful to be a part of what we have.

Our Yard Sale on July 31 was a very great success, thank you to all those who donated and those who came out to peruse our merchandise. Our first 50/50 draw of the season was also a success and again, thanks to all of those who purchased tickets. Our winners were a combined group that put all their names on the tickets. They were Dave, Cathy, John and Jane, congrats folks. Just to be clear, the OLG has the same rules, if a group buys and wins, all their names must be on the tickets. So come on out and support your local Legion. Keep an eye out for our August 50/50 draw on sale now. The next draw will be August 31 at 2 p.m. in the downstairs bar. Donate so we can keep contributing to the community.
