News from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club
Posted on Thursday, August 4, 2016
Come one and all! The Greater Petawawa Civitan Club invites anyone who would like to play horseshoes to join us at the Petawawa Civic Centre at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday night. We are located right behind the canteen. If you would like more information you can call John VandenBarr at 613-717-5674 or see him at our Sunday night Bingo.
Now if you have a wedding coming up and you would like some fruit cake, just see Marie at the canteen on Sunday night or you can call me at 613-687-8463 as I have a few cakes left. They are $10 for a box of three. Sorry only dark left. I have been told that they are great as gifts at a wedding or party. They also make great cookies. I made them and they were gone in just two days.
The members of the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club are happy to welcome Peggy Richardson into our club. Peggy said she was looking for something to do and wanted to help others and meet new people. Well what away to meet others. When you take time to volunteer just a bit of time to help others, you get to meet so many people and it makes you feel good and gives you something to look forward to and a reason to get out of the house for a little while. Remember there is no cost to join our Civitan Club, we just ask that you help at our Bingo or other events we hold, and if you have a suggestion for something new we could do, we would love to hear it.
The Greater Petawawa Civitan members want to say welcome to Petawawa to all the new people moving here and we invite you to come and try our Bingo on Sunday night. If you are new to Petawawa or area just let us know. If you would like to know some of the things going on around Petawawa, we will be happy to tell you. Once you are here for awhile, you will get to love it. There is lots for the children to do and you may find things that you like to do, too.
Well that’s all for this week, enjoy your summer and come play Bingo at the Civitan Bingo in Petawawa. Remember when you support our Bingo you are helping us support those in need of our help in our area.
Have a good week and keep safe.
Thought for the week: Say “Yes I can help make a difference” and do it.
