Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) volunteers entered the world of balloon twisting during a special class on July 26. Led by Jimmy Gilbert, they learned the core mechanics, materials and techniques. With about a decade of experience behind him, Gilbert said it’s an excellent skill that can be used for future events and the hands-on workshop was a good opportunity to learn something new and out of the ordinary. His class is among many offered to PMFRC volunteers to help them extend their professional and personal repertoire of skills.
