OTTAWA - With less than a month to go until race weekend on September 15 to 17, 2017, Canada Army Run needs volunteers to help make this year’s event the best one yet.

Volunteer registration is now live via the Canada Army Run registration platform. The platform may also be used to fundraise for Canada Army Run beneficiaries.

Volunteers can choose their preferred area and hours, and can select to volunteer directly alongside family and friends. This is also an ideal opportunity for high school students 14 years and older to fulfill their Community Involvement Activities required for Ontario Secondary school diplomas.

Canada Army Run welcomes tens of thousands of participants from across the country to run, walk and roll in this truly unique military-themed community event held in Ottawa and Gatineau. This year’s lineup features new exciting events and there is lots to see and do for everyone involved.

This year’s edition, the 10th anniversary, promises to be a memorable event in our nation’s capital. Ottawa is the place to be this year as we celebrate Canada 150.

Since 2008, Canada Army Run has raised more than $2.1 million in support of Soldier On and Support Our Troops Fund – two Canadian Armed Forces financial support programs that provide assistance to ill and injured soldiers and military families in need.

Canada Army Run race weekend offers something for everyone, including military displays, Kids’ Zone, live music, sports expo, and a unique opportunity to interact with your Canadian Army.

Registration details can be found on our website at www.armyrun.ca.
