Did you know that you do not need to be a Legion member to talk to our Veteran’s Service Officer? He will help retired and still serving members of the military with pension forms, assistance from the Poppy Fund, and answer your questions about programs or point you in right direction. Our Veteran’s Service Officer is Paul Paris and he can be reached at 613-687-2216.

The BBQ this week features T-Bone steak or a smaller 8-ounce steak, hamburgers and foot-long hot dogs. Served with baked potato and salads from 4:30-6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend, so bring the family.

Friday Fish and Chips starts soon and we are still looking for volunteers to be runners to call out the meal numbers, platers to put food on plates, and a couple of dishwashers. If you can commit to one Friday a month we would love to hear from you. Students needing hours, Legion members or non-members are more than welcome to volunteer. Call Helene at 613-687-6783, leave your name at the bar or call the branch at 613-687-2504.

Functions can be booked at the Legion to use the upstairs hall for private parties or downstairs lounge for more casual get-togethers. Catering can be done by the Ladies Auxiliary for all your functions. To book the Legion, call Liz at the branch number above, or to inquire about catering, call Zita at 613-687-7438. Anyone can book, not just Legion members, but if you are a member of the Petawawa Legion, you get a reduced rental rate - one of the membership perks.
