Canada 150 Quilt Project
Posted on Thursday, August 24, 2017
The Champlain Trail Museum is looking for quilters in the community to design 12.5” quilt blocks for a Canada 150 community quilt that will be quilted and displayed in the Museum. The quilt blocks can be any design with any colour scheme and should show what Canada means to you. If you are interested in making a quilt block for the Canada 150 quilt you can contact Angela at the Museum for more information at 613-735-0517. We would like to receive these quilt squares by Friday, October 27, 2017.
This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the Pembroke and Petawawa District Community Foundation, the government of Canada and community leaders from coast to coast.
The Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village is the largest Museum in Renfrew County with more than 10,000 artifacts among its collection. Located in Pembroke, the Museum is owned and operated by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society and is funded by the municipalities of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley. For more information, please contact the Museum at 613-735-0517, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
