Hello once again, I have to say I had a great time with my sister while down in Cape Breton NS. We also got to go to Louisbourg to see the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. I have to say it has gotten a lot bigger than the last time we were down there and it is getting bigger every year. You would need all day to see everything. By the way, if you happen to be going down to Cape Breton and arenear Port Morien, take a drive along Birch Grove Road and see all the animals in Norma’s front yard. Kids just love to be able to touch all the animals and have their pictures taken. It is one way I can find out where she lives - ha ha.
Now it is time to tell you a bit of news from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club.
The members from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club have been busy thoughout the summer with their Bingo and getting ready for the Fall and Winter. Oh yes, August is almost over and September is just a day away. The children will all be going back to school and most Moms and Dads back to work. So when you are driving to and from work, please watch out for the children.
Once again, the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club is looking for new members to join them in the service of helping others. If you have just a few hours a month you can spare, at no cost to you, come and join Civitan. Find out what we are doing and what Civitan is all about.
Now if you like to play Bingo, come on out to our Bingo every Sunday night held at the Petawawa Civic Centre. Doors open at 5:30, early bird games start at 6:30 and regular games at 7 p.m. Lots of good prizes to be had and good friends to meet. Hope to see you Sunday night!
Remember when you support the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club Bingo, you are helping us support those in our area that need help. Thank you to all who have supported us over the years.
That’s all for this week, God Bless.
Thought for the week: Don’t judge others, lest you be judged.
