For those around this weekend or who have company, why cook this Friday night when you can drop into the Legion main hall from 4:30-6 p.m. We have BBQs every Friday and this week it is chicken and hamburgers on the menu with salads. Families welcome, so bring the gang. Prices are very reasonable. Next week is pork chops and sausages.

Did you know that the branch works the bingo at Delta Bingo in Pembroke? We have teams who work, on average, once a month for a few hours on a Sunday. Money raised is used for donations and to help keep our doors open, paying for heat and hydro. If you would like to volunteer and help out on a team, call our Bingo Chairman Ed Yahnke at 613-687-4139.

Filling out forms and trying to navigate the procedures required for VAC disability claims can be difficult. If you are unsure how to start the process or are just looking for information, our Veterans Service Officer Paul Paris is very knowledgeable on claims and what is required to get started or how to do appeals if declined. Paul will meet with you and help you fill out the paperwork. Give him a call at 613-639-3236.

If you are finding the heat a little overwhelming, you can stop in to our air conditioned lounge and use our free wifi. If there is a nice breeze you could also sit out in our screened patio.
