It’s a new year and the Seniors are ready to start their activities on Monday, January 7 with Swedish Weaving at 9:30 in the morning. If you don’t know what this activity involves, come in to the club and check out the group. Bridge will take place on Monday at 1 p.m. Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. Jenna Walsh will commence her fitness class in the downstairs hall. Bingo will be starting on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with a 50/50 draw, and regular games and a Jackpot. Food and refreshments all always available. Bid Euchre takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m

. Regular fitness classes will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as per usual. Weight Watchers meet downstairs in the evening at 5:30 p.m. Join the group and live a healthy and active lifestyle. Tole Painters meet at 10 a.m., in the activities room upstairs.

Thursday morning starts out with a Yoga session at 9:15 a.m. with Linda. At 10:30 a.m., Line Dancing has a full group of ladies who love to learn new dance moves. The music is great and the exercise is good for the body and mind. Painting takes place upstairs at 10 a.m.

Friday is Quilting Day at the club with a group of ladies who sew beautiful quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, and all manner of sewing items. They are truly artists and sew for the hospital and other Community projects. If you knit or crochet, this is a good group to meet and share ideas. Friday evening is regular Euchre night at 7 p.m.

The Fitness Room is always open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. trying to stay in shape during the winter months when its too cold or too slippery to walk outside, this is the place for you to walk or run on the treadmill or use the bikes and othet equipment.

Come in and pick up a newsletter for all of the activities at the Club. We have dinner/dances, lunches, seminars and one of the newest activities is scrapbooking this year.

The winners of the Friday evening Euchre games were: Kay Saunders, Gabe Tosello, Garry Huff, Lise Bourque, Cathy McKay Jones, Mary Sack, Garry Huff, Doris McCutcheon, Jean Hynes, and Vern Stressmann.

Cabin Fever 2019 will be held from Jan. 19 to 27. This is a fun time for everyone in the community. The full calendar of events can be found on the town website. The Seniors Club will be having a Soup and Chili luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the cost is $8 and we will have a 50/50 draw. Come out and bring a friend.
