The 2 Combat Engineer Regiment (2 CER) Change of Command Ceremony was between newly minted Colonel Mark Gasparotto and incoming CO Lieutenant Colonel Jim Smith. It was held on the morning of June 30 at the Neder Rijn Engineer Complex. Col Gasparotto leaves the regiment after 19 years of service in different leadership positions. Though he will miss the troops, he feels that LCol Smith will be a suitable replacement, as he is already familiar with the area and 2 CER.
