At Bernadette McCann House, staying in the residence is one of many options for accessing resources and services. The agency offers one-to-one support with trained case workers, group work as well as information sharing and referrals. Those who wish to receive support are encouraged to call the Crisis/Support Line at 613-732-3131 anytime day or night.

Bernadette McCann House recognizes that a person does not need to have been physically abused to be hurt. Abuse comes in many forms: stalking, put downs, threats and control of finances to name a few. Any and all types of abuse are wrong and hurtful.

The Crisis/Support line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week: it is the equivalent to an “all access pass” to what Bernadette McCann House has to offer.

Callers can inquire on behalf of a friend or family member for information about abuse (past or present), warning signs or simply to share concerns with a trained listener.

Sometimes it helps to share with someone impartial; a neutral party to bear witness to a traumatic story, event or experience. If you, or someone you know is being abused, please do not hesitate to call any day, any time: 613-732-3131 or 1-800-267-4930.
