The last Sunday before the summer months focuses on families with the BBQ and games for the children. This year we highlighted the youth of the chapel so as to encourage them in their faith and to promote a broader sense of community.

The Youth worship band led the music and Edwin Turner read a few of the bible passages. The Children’s time/Sermon was an interactive children’s story read by Amy Turner.

The Sunday school teachers organized games after the service. Julie McBride provided water balloons and Carol Sollows did tattoos on the children. The adults provided the picnic food.

The next emphasis on youth will be August with the VBS at the chapel, Monday 8 to Friday 12th, for children ages 4 to 11. The theme is “Egypt: Joseph’s journey from prison to palace.” The VBS will focus on exploring Pharaoh’s palace, experiencing thrilling real-life dramas, play high-energy games, sample tasty snacks, and hear unforgettable music. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Breakfast club is at 7:30 a.m. For more information phone 613-687-5511 ex. 5434.
