It’s finally summer and we have the great hot sunny temperatures that we deserve to play in the sun. There are loads of activities to take part in during the summer. The beach at the Point is beautiful and the scenery is spectacular for everyone, you can rent canoes, paddle boards and kayaks.
The park trails in the community are open for walking, biking and ATVs and you can enjoy nature at its best. You don’t have to go far to access the trails as they are very close to your front door. You can go to Pembroke and enjoy concerts in the Park at the Waterfront, enjoy some great music and walk the trail for a pleasant evening.
Tickets are selling for the Stone Fence Theatre play at Rankin Community Centre in October. Come in and get your tickets and join us for a fun evening with food and friends. The cost is $60 and we will travel by bus to Rankin with pick up at 5 p.m. and we will pick up at the Irving Big Stop for those members who live in Pembroke.
Come in on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for fitness sessions on DVD and keep active during the summer months. Enjoy the air conditioning as it may be too hot to walk outside sometimes. A reminder that there is a fitness session on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Bridge is played on Mondays at 1 p.m., bid euchre is on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., and regular euchre is played on Friday evenings at 7 pm.
Bingo is always on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and we have 16 regular games, three special games, jackpot games, top and bottom line and a second full card. We have food and refreshments and a 50/50.
Yoga class takes place on Thursday mornings at 9:15 until 10:15 a.m. Come out and enjoy a session with Linda and her regular group. The fitness room is always open for your daily use to keep you in good physical shape.
