Feeling Fabulous Makeover Contest winners announced

Jacquie Gooderham of Gooderfit Personal Training and Home Gym and John Butler of John A Butler Photography invited local women to enter the Feeling Fabulous Makeover Contest, which promotes positive self-esteem, health and well-being. The contest, now in its second year, was open to women over the age of 18 who were asked to send a photo of themselves and a few paragraphs about why they would like to win one of three prize packages worth a total of more than $3,500. The three winners were announced on May 19 at the Best Western Pembroke Inn and Conference Centre - winning the grand prize package worth over $2,600 was Thomasina Plourde of Petawawa, followed by first runner up ($650) Vanessa McClement from Barry’s Bay and second runner up ($350) Laura Lee Daigle of Deep River. “I love to see our community come together and do something awesome for these very deserving ladies,” said Gooderfit, who created the initiative in 2015.
