A free Community event was held June 3 at Garrison Petawawa’s Recreation Complex for the launch of June is Recreation Month.

Presented by PSP Community Recreation, the festivities included a free barbecue, family-friendly entertainment, face painting, Garrison club demonstrations, a Hobby Farm, mechanical bull for adults, and an art tunnel for children.

The event also marked the launch of the Active Transportation and Commander’s Fitness Challenge with a kids Bicycle Rodeo in partnership with the Petawawa Family Cycle Club and 2 Military Police Regiment, and a family punch card for the day to encourage riding on the Garrison Fitness Trail.
