The rain didn’t put a damper on the 2018 Winter Family Festival. Hundreds of families descended on Garrison Petawawa on Family Day, Feb. 19 to take part in the fun. The festival had something for all ages including indoor skating at Silver Dart Arena, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snow hills, bonfire with marshmallows, a taffy station, complimentary hot dogs, chili, soup and hot chocolate, the PAZ Family Entertainment Show, an axe throwing challenge, snow shoeing, fireworks and free giveaways. This year’s event was a joint partnership between Garrison Petawawa Personnel Support Programs (PSP), CANEX, SISIP and the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC).
