We are Safety Services - You Need to Defend Your Ears

A soldier learned the hard way that ear plugs are no substitute for ear defenders. He suffered hearing loss after one of the ear plugs came loose while he was firing a .50 cal. machine-gun on the range.
By their very design, ear defenders “cup” the ears and the surrounding area of the head to restrict the effects of sound wave compression on the ear drum.
In addition, their snug fit ensures that they remain in place. Ear plugs only plug the ear canal and deaden the sound waves, but not to the same degree that ear defenders do and can easily be dislodged by movements of the head, particularly the jaw and face muscles.
Don’t just plug your ears – defend them.
