It is the responsibility of all residents of Garrison Petawawa that, in anticipation of spring, we get an early start in maintaining our residences. As the snow slowly melts the garbage left behind by old man winter rears its ugly head. In addition, our furry friends have undeniably left their mark over the winter. It will be to our advantage to get an early start to mitigate unpleasant sights and smells that appear from the months sitting under the snow. It is not just a case of environmental issues, it is a courtesy to our neighbours.

Our residents in the apartments can also get an early start to spring by cleaning up their allotted garages and ensuring that waste is ready for collection in orderly fashion.

Residents of the Residential housing Units, I am certain that once the raking is done and the debris is picked up our community will once again be a place we all can be proud of.

We can all be part of the solution by being proactive and not to look the other way, or wait for someone to come along and do it for you.

All Residents of Garrison Petawawa can do their part by following these simple steps:
1. Ensure that waste is in the correct bin.
2. Break down and bundle large cardboard. Particularly TV and moving type boxes.
3. Flatten and break down blue bin waste so it fits in the bin.
4. Return bins to your residence ASAP after collection.
5. Do not put out garbage until the evening before pick up.
6. Use only black bags for normal garbage.

Bulk item pickup is the week of 26 to 31 May 2019. Please do not place bulk items out before Sunday the 26th of May. Take note of the Large Item Collection guide.

Also take a look at the Environmental Days for drop off of E-Waste, and Hazardous or Special Waste (HSW).

Follow the guide to ensure a safe yet productive Bulk Pickup for 2019
