Tickets for our Remembrance Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 9 remain on sale until Monday, Nov. 6 at closing. If you are or ever have been a member of the military your dinner and your spouse/escort is free. If you are a widow/widower you can attend with a friend as well for free. Choice of dinner includes roast beef, stuffed pork or vegetarian. Tickets, even if free, must be picked up at the bar during regular hours as we need to know for numbers. As part of the dinner we will also be doing a candlelight ceremony at the end. Candles can be purchased at the bar and the name of your choice will be affixed to it. During this Friday’s fish and chips, tickets for the dinner and candles will be available in the main hall.

With Remembrance Day falling on a Saturday, we hope that many will join us at the Cenotaph for our Service at 11 a.m. The Parade will leave Mulvihills at approximately 10:35 a.m. to march along the boulevard to the Cenotaph. Following the service, we invite the children to the downstairs lounge for cookies and hot chocolate and the adults upstairs. It is great to see so many members of the community wearing a Poppy. Thank you!

On Nov. 26 we are holding our Christmas Craft fair in the main hall. If you would like to rent a table give Liz a call at 613-687-2504. You can choose your location by booking now, so if you need power or would like to be against a wall, you pick. Just don’t wait too long for the best selection.

We still have a few dates available for Christmas parties so if you still are looking for that perfect place to hold yours, give Liz a call weekday mornings at the number above for a list of dates. Catering can be done on site by our Ladies Auxiliary for dinners or late lunches. There are many selections to choose from and if you don’t see what you want, just ask.

Catch The Ace has grown to a really nice sum that would make Christmas shopping a breeze, so drop into the branch and get your ticket for your chance at picking that ace of spades. Open to the public so don’t miss out.

Early Bird for membership continues until the end of November so why not save a few dollars and pay before then. Dues can be paid at the bar during regular hours or on Friday during fish and chips.

Don’t miss our Wednesday soup and sandwiches from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Different soup and one sandwich each week with egg salad on every week.
