On bases, wings, and garrisons across the country, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members took part in the annual CAF Sports Day on Oct. 20. This event was created in 2014 as a way to celebrate the power of sports and promote the culture of fitness in the military. Last year, over 11,000 people joined in to participate in over 200 Sports Day activities. At Garrison Petawawa, the sports facilities at Dundonald Hall were ready to greet local athletes in hockey, sitting volleyball, basketball, flag football, slow-pitch, archery, court battles and an extreme sweat competition.
