For those of you who would like to know more about Civitan and what we are doing, we hold a meeting once a month. It is on the second Wednesday and starts at 7 p.m. We are located upstairs at the Petawawa Civic Centre. Come and bring a friend and learn about Civitan and the work we do.

On Sunday night, Oct. 29, the 52 special was $2,000 and it was won by a very happy lady who attends our bingo every week. We also had three special draws and one lady was very lucky - she won two of the prizes. At this time I would like to thank everyone who took part in the draws. Remember: when you support the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club, you are helping us support those in our area who need help.

The Greater Petawawa Civitan Club now has their famous fruit cakes for sale once again. Did you know that you can make some very special desserts and cookies with our fruit cake? We also have recipes for you and will have them printed out and you can have one when you get a cake if you like. Civitan Marie Arnold can tell you about some of the other desserts that can be made.

Members of the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club will also be out selling Christmas Cakes. You may also get your cakes at the ESSO gas station and at the Silver Threads Seniors Club in Petawawa, as well as at our Bingo on Sunday night. You can also call Marie Arnold at 613-687-8463 or Brian Miner at 613-687-4503 for cakes.
Remember to thank a Veteran and remember all those who gave their lives so that we could have peace. November 11 - Remember, Lest We Forget. Remember the men and women who gave their lives so we would have peace at home. We will not forget those who fought and are fighting for peace and the freedom we have here in Canada now. Thank you to all.

That’s all for this time, hope to see you soon.

God Bless.

Thought for the week: Each day is a new day be thankful.

Laughter Is the Best Medicine: Gramma said to Tommy, “If I had penny for every time I told you not to do that, I would be rich.” Tommy look bewildered. “What is a penny Gramma?”
