Our Remembrance Day service will start with the parade leaving from Mulvihill’s across from the Post Office, stepping off at approx 10:35 a.m. and proceeding to the Legion Cenotaph. We invite all the community to join us in honouring all our Veterans who have served, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Thank you for wearing a Poppy. It may seem like a small gesture but for those who never came home, it means the world to know that they are not forgotten.

As part of our Dinner of Remembrance on Nov. 9, we are also doing a Candlelight Service. If you would like a candle that will burn at the cenotaph until the morning of the 11th, they can be purchased at the bar and at Friday fish and chips.

Our Catch the Ace pot is growing and the ace is still hiding. Pick up your ticket for our Thursday night draw at the bar starting at noon every day but Sunday, or at our Friday fish and chips from 4:30 - 6 p.m.

Wednesday soup and sandwiches run from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Different soup every week and egg salad and a meat sandwich that changes weekly.

Our next General Meeting is on Sunday, November 17 at 3 p.m. Please mark your calendars.
