Well hello everyone, here I am once again with just a bit of News from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club.

BINGO - YES, OUR BINGO HAS STARTED UP AGAIN! We held our first bingo on Sunday, November 7 and we hope to see everyone next Sunday.

Our Bingo is held at the Petawawa Civic Centre, doors open at 5:30 p.m., early bird games start at 6:30 and regular games start at 7 p.m. COVID protocols are in place, and you must be 18 years and older to play.

By the way, we are still looking for volunteers for the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club. I would love to have you come and join me and all the other members of our GREAT Club. Why not give me a call at 613-687-8463 or call Brian at 613-687-4503.

We also have our Christmas cakes for sale. They are $8 a pound (light or dark) and here is where you can buy them: Silver Threads Seniors Club, 1163 Victoria St. Petawawa; the Petawawa Post Office, Petawawa ESSO, 3416 C Petawawa Blvd.; and Bower’s ESSO & Grocery, 2106 Petawawa Blvd.

You may call me at 613-687-8463 for delivery of cakes, or you may get them at the Bingo or from one of our members as well. The Bingo is our main fundraiser and we thank all those who have supported over the years.

We also have raffle tickets on sale for two Christmas dinner hampers. First prize is a complete turkey dinner and second prize is a complete ham dinner, each valued at $150. Both come with dessert. The 3rd place draw is an oil change, filter and lube, and two gas vouchers, valued at $100. The cost per ticket is $5 and the draw will be held December 19 at our Civitan Bingo. Some members also have tickets for sale.

Proceeds will go towards the wheelchair swing and Phoenix Centre Bullying Program.

I am happy to be a Greater Petawawa Civitan Member. Hope you think about joining us. See you all soon.

That’s all for now, take care and God bless you all.

Thought: Keep smiling and help others when you can.
