News from the Silver Threads Seniors Club

Posted on Thursday, September 7, 2017

Its school time this week, and we have to be vigilant as there will many school buses on the streets along with students walking and riding their bikes. Its an exciting time, as we watch the little ones off to school for the first time and the older ones starting College and University.

Silver Threads Seniors will be operating up to full capacity again and we have planned an Open House at the club for Sept. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to come out and see for themselves all of the activities that are offered for seniors to keep fit and to meet new people and have fun. The Seniors Club is a place for people 50 years of age and above to be involved in Seniors Active Living.

The cost of a membership for the fiscal year from April 1 to March 31 is $25. We offer Dinner/Dances, Seminars, Bus Trips, and if you have a new interest, come in and we can discuss the activity and see if we can incorporate in the Club. If you have a particular talent, let us know about it and we can discuss it with the membership. We are always looking for new ideas. The new Newsletter for the month of September is in your email, so that you can see the activity and time of day offered.
