Thrift Shop volunteer retirement

Two Garrison Petawawa Personnel Support Programs (PSP) volunteers recently retired after contributing a combined total of more than 60 years volunteering at the Garrison Thrift Shop. Thanking Jean Hoffman (second from left) and Lil Bellefontaine (second from right) for their tireless volunteer service are Senior Manager PSP Nathan Lane (left) and 4th Canadian Division Support Group Commander Colonel Louis Lapointe (right). The Thrift Shop accepts donations from the community to be sold at low prices, with all profits going back in to the community via charitable organizations. It is run solely by volunteers with support from PSP Community Recreation, and is located at 54 Festubert Boulevard, across from Dundonald Hall. The hours of operation are Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PSP Community Recreation is always looking for volunteers for the Garrison Thrift Shop and many other opportunities.  Reach out to us at RecPlex@forces.gc.ca for more information.
