Tools For Schools helps more students in 2017

With the generous support of the community, CPAN’s Tools for School helped 731 local students in need get the tools they need to succeed this school year.

In July 2017, CPAN launched a campaign challenging supporters and the community at large to get creative and fundraise to sponsor two local students in need to celebrate Canada’s 150th milestone birthday

#CPAN150CHALLENGE raised $16,529 to sponsor another 220 local students. There were over 40 businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals that participated and raised money for Tools for School.

CPAN has seen so many creative ways to fundraise - one of the most recent is The Phoenix Centre for Children and Families who challenged staff to get hydrated for the month of October and drink eight cups of water daily. Eighteen people participated, raising $180 which sponsors two local students in need.

“We are humbled yet again by the kindness and generosity of Renfrew County and their support of our mission to ensure there is no child ever left behind,” said Brittany Landry, CPAN Programming Assistant.

CPAN’s Tools for School was created to allow all children and youth the opportunity to reach their full potential in life and enjoy a bright future.
