Riverview Seniors Residence 35th annual Christmas Celebrations

Residents at the Riverview Seniors Residence were delighted with Santa Claus’s annual visit. He came early from the North Pole on Monday December 11th 2017 for the traditional 35th annual Riverview Christmas Dinner and Party.

The evening and the gifts were made possible through the planning and organization of Dolly and Greg Currie and among those offering their time and talents to the gathering were Eva Brushett and Joan O’Zon, who were Santa’s Elves. Along with Eva and Joan, Kathy Byrne and Lisa Kitt of Marianhill Staff helped serve the meal and distributed the gifts. The tables were decorated in a Christmas motif, which set the Christmas mood.

Percy Hoffman and Friends provided the evening’s musical entertainment and were supported by their spouses. As in past years, Chris and Melissa St-Martin of Danny’s Restaurant & Steakhouse and their staff, with special thanks to Gail Wagner, who graciously catered the turkey dinner for all, who attended. Riverview resident Cecelia Sawyer prepared a table of tasty desserts. As well, special thanks is extended to Santa for his annual appearance.

Prizes for this event were provided by local businesses/individuals being Kevin’s Flowers, Kim and Ben - Customer Service Representatives with Hyska’s Your Independent Grocer, Red Apple, Petawawa, Eva Brushett, AVON Representative and Dolly Currie.

The event was well attended and the room was filled with Christmas spirit and cheer.
