News from the Petawawa Legion

This weekend we have fun and food for you to enjoy. Saturday, Jan. 27 is music in the upstairs hall. Landry and Madill will have you dancing the night away from 8 p.m. to midnight. We have spot dances and a late lunch included in your small cover charge. Round up your friends and party the night away. Everyone welcome.

On Sunday, Jan. 28, join us for our full roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, veggies, Yorkshire pudding, salad and dessert. Price reduced for kids under 10. Dinner served from 4:30-6 p.m. in the upstairs hall that is fully accessible. Open to all.

This past Sunday we were pleased to present to the Deep River District Hospital Foundation a donation of $8,000 toward the purchase of an oxygen therapy machine. This money was made available from the generous donations of the community to the Poppy Fund. This equipment will support our veterans, their families and members of our community.

We also awarded a 50 year medal to Ken Whitlock. Congratulations Ken! As well, we handed out certificates of appreciation to our Bingo volunteers who raise much needed funds to pay our utilities. Catch the Ace grows steadily so if you have not got your ticket for this week, do so as the ticket drawn could be yours and worth over $7,500. Purchase tickets at the bar during regular hours from noon on daily. Members of the public are welcome to purchase tickets as well.

Our soup and sandwich Wednesdays continue weekly from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and fish and chip Fridays from 5-6:30 p.m. Both are open to all.

From Sunday to Wednesday we have our 20 oz domestic draft on sale so drop in and enjoy the company of friends.
