News from the Silver Threads Seniors Club
The Seniors Club is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Most of the activities have started up again as per usual. The fitness program with Debbie will commence on the first week of October. There is a fitness session on Tuesday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with Jenna Walsh.
The fitness room is open for your convenience during the hours of operation.
Come in and see us or check out the full list of activities on line. The Swedish Weavers are back doing their beautiful work, and they are looking for some people to join them on Monday mornings at 9 a.m., don’t be shy, come out and join in this activity.
There will be a Heart Health Session on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the downstairs hall. Everyone is welcome to attend these information sessions and you don’t have to be a member or a senior to get some valuable information that will assist you to stay in good health.
Flu shots are being offered at most of the local drug stores and it is so convenient to pick up your groceries and get your flu shot at the same time. Pick up your prescriptions and have your flu shot or you can get the flu shot from your doctor or attend the local clinics in your area.
The winners of the Friday evening Euchre games were: Gabe Tosello, Geraldine Zeeman, Helen Baker, Lise Bourque, Pat Mathewson. Come out and attend cards with some fun folks, and have refreshments and munchies.
Bring in your stamped Your Independent Grocer receipts and place them in the boxes provided and don’t forget to bring something for the food bank, as we have a box downstairs for items that you donate.
