News from the Silver Threads Seniors Club

It’s back to school and back to work this week for everyone. Likewise the seniors are heading back to the club to participate in their many activities.

Here is a list of regular weekly activities:

Friday is all day Quilting in the downstairs hall, also knitting or crochet, for those who love that type of creating. Friday evening at 7 p.m. is regular Euchre.

Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. there will be a seminar on Heart Health by Jenna Walsh. Everyone is welcome to come out to these seminars, you don’t have to be a member or a senior.

The Open House will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. Come out and meet some old members and sign up for any of the classes. Food and refreshments will be served.

The Euchre players have been winning at cards during the past couple of weeks and they are: Helen Baker, Phyllis Slater, Cathy McKay, Shirley Mielke, Jeanette McKay. Bill Stevens, Al Decoste, Helen Sack, Norma Oelke, Vern Stressman.

Reminder: At age 20, we worry about what others think of us. At age 40, we don’t care what they think of us. At age 60, we discover they haven’t been thinking of us at all. (Ann Landers) Let’s suppport our community by shopping and supporting the merchants in the town. Have fun in all of your activities and be sure and come out to Dundonald Hall on September 8 and sign up for any activities.

See you at the club!
