Now in its 9th year, the Dave Findlay Memorial Golf Tournament continues its fight against cancer and assisting youth to get into the sport of golf. Dave Findlay was well known in the area as a golf professional and a fixture at the Airport Driving Range and the Petawawa Golf Course. He passed away from cancer about 10 years ago, but his legacy lives on. The proceeds from his namesake tournament go to the Canadian Cancer Society and a junior golf program. On Aug. 25, 72 golfers descended on the course and organizers hope to see the event grow next year for its 10th anniversary.
