Petawawa Skating Club skaters celebrate top honours at 2019 Skate Ontario Adult Championships

The Petawawa Skating Club is proud to announce that adult skaters Shannon O’Connor and Linda Cooney are the 2019 Adult Star 4/5 Dance Pair Champions! These two ladies traveled to Port Colbourne to compete in the 2019 Skate Ontario Adult Championship at the end of March. This competition included adult skaters ranging in age from 18 to 81 years old from skating clubs across Ontario. Also competing was Mikaela Labelle, who won a silver medal in Bronze Women’s Freeskate in the Young Adult division and Marlee Stein, who also won a silver medal in the Young Adult Woman’s Interpretive category. Mikaela and Marlee competed as a pair in the Young Adult Couples Interpretive and were awarded a silver medal. These ladies show our younger skaters in the Petawawa Skating Club that skating is for everyone at any age and placing in their categories was an added bonus.
