News from the Silver Threads Seniors Club

The Friendship Dinner on Thursday evening was well attended by many seniors in the community. Everyone was served a delicious meal of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and veg with dessert and tea and coffee. The next supper will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome and the supper is free, no need for any donations.

This week we are having fun during fitness sessions as we are going back to the 80s with Richard Simmons. Most of the sessions are similar to modern day fitness classes and the music is great. We are also doing the circuit training with Cathy as our instructor. Everything is so much more fun with music.

Line Dancing will be starting up again in April and we will send you an email for the specific date for you to get your shoes ready for some good country music.

April 18 is the date for the Western Dinner/Dance. The tickets are on sale in the office and the cost is $25 for members and $30 for non members. We usually enjoy a delicious dinner with various salads, rolls and butter, dessert and tea and coffee. There will be a door prize, 50/50 and a raffle draw. Come on out and enjoy a delightful evening with friends.
