Thousands braved the cold to make it to the Winter Family Festival.

The annual tradition sees Garrison Petawawa’s Dundonald Hall Grounds transformed into a winter wonderland filled with fun in honour of Family Day, this year held on Feb. 18.

The free event was brought together by Garrison Petawawa Personnel Support Programs (PSP), CANEX, SISIP and the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC).

With every age in mind, activities included a free indoor skate at the Silver Dart Arena, bonfire with marshmallows, complimentary food provided by Dreams Catering, outdoor entertainment shows, axe throwing challenge, snowshoeing, snow hills, fireworks and more.
