Unit Change of Command parades
The 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa Operations Services (4 CDSB Petawawa Ops Svcs) Change of Command occurred on July 5 at the Garrison Petawawa Fire Hall, bidding farewell to outgoing Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant-Colonel (LCol) Joe Hartson (left) and welcoming incoming CO LCol Chris Durant (right). 4th Canadian Division Support Group Commander Colonel (Col) Louis Lapointe (centre) was the Reviewing Officer.
4th Canadian Division Support Group (4 CDSG) provides institutional support to all Army Formations within Ontario as well as to all lodger units housed in their assigned area of responsibility. Four of its units recently saw handovers to new Commanders including 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa Operations Services (4 CDSB Petawawa Ops Svcs), 4 CDSB Petawawa Technical Services (4 CDSB Petawawa Tech Svcs), 4 CDSB Petawawa Personnel Services (4 CDSB Petawawa Pers Svcs) and 4 CDSG Signal Squadron (4 CDSG Sig Sqn).

As one of his last official acts as CO, LCol Hartson (left) transferred the pace stick between outgoing and incoming Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSM) Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Lindsay Parsons (right) and new RSM CWO Eric Green (centre).
On July 4, 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa Personnel Services Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant-Colonel (LCol) Darcy Wright (left) ceded his position to incoming CO Lieutenant-Colonel (LCol) Iain Clark (right). This Change of Command occurred on the lawn of the Garrison Petawawa Military Museums. It was made official through the signing of certificates, officiated by 4th Canadian Division Support Group (4 CDSG) Commander Colonel (Col) Louis Lapointe (centre). Behind them stands Regimental Sergeant Major Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Kim Pyke (back left) and 4 CDSG Formation Sergeant-Major Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Tom Verner (back right).
It is customary during Change of Command Ceremonies to exchange gifts. Outgoing Commanding Officer LCol Wright receives a fabricated bouquet of poppies, a perfect example of trench art. It was presented to him by Lieutenant (Lt) Danielle Rees.
The 4 Canadian Division Support Group Signal Squadron (4 CDSG Sig Sqn) Change of Command ceremony was held on July 12 at All Ranks Service Club. (Above) The ceremony marked the handover between outgoing Commanding Officer (CO) Major (Maj) Christian Beaulieu (left) and incoming CO Major (Maj) Tony Shields (right). This traditional act was presided over by 4 CDSG Commander Colonel (Col) Louis Lapointe (centre). Behind them are 4 CDSG Formation Sergeant Major (FSM) Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Tom Verner (back left) and Squadron Sergeant Major (SSM) Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Ray Laplante (back right).
