The Fleet Technical Training Flight (FTTF) of 450 Tactial Helicopter Squadron (450 THS) presented the five graduates of 2019’s third serial of the CH147F Flight Engineer Maintenance course to their Commandant and Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Coakwell, on Thursday, November 28, 2019.

The course comprised of forty-one training days that covered every mechanical and avionic system on the CH147F Chinook.

For the first time in FTTF’s history, all of the students graduated with their Maintenance Release (Level A) authorizations. This level of competency has never been seen before on the Chinook fleet and will enable more efficient maintenance, especially when the Chinook is away from home.

These five Flight Engineers (FEs) now move on to the flying phase of their training. By this time next year, all five should be fully qualified FEs.
