BMO brings mobile banking services to CAF members, Defence Team
A mobile Bank of Montreal (BMO) office was at CANEX on Nov. 25 and 26 to help Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families, and members of the Defence Team open free banking accounts. BMO has been the official bank of the CAF since 2008. Designed to meet the unique needs of CAF members and their families, BMO set up the Canadian Defence Community Banking (CDCB) Program, which features no monthly fee with the Performance Plan, employee discounts on mortgages and personal lines of credit, plus the BMO Support Our Troops Mastercard which directly benefits Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) programs. As there are no branches in Petawawa, Ross Meadows, manager of the BMO branch in Deep River, decided to bring a mobile banking truck directly to soldiers at Garrison Petawawa. Stationed at the CANEX SuperMart, he and his team were on-site to answer questions, provide information and set up free bank accounts.
