News from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club
Well hello everyone, here I am once again with just a bit of news from the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club.
First of all, the members of the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Now just a reminder, OUR BINGO HAS STARTED UP AGAIN. Covid-19 protocols are in place and you must be 18 years old or older to play bingo in Ontario. On Dec. 19, we will be holding our Christmas Bingo. Our Bingo is held at the Petawawa Civic Centre, doors open at 5:30 p.m., early bird games start at 6:30 and regular games start at 7 p.m. Our Bingo will be closed Dec. 26 and we will be open again Jan. 2, 2022. Bingo is our main fundraiser and we thank all those that have supported over the years.
We are still looking for volunteers for the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club and I would love to have you come and join me and all the other members of our GREAT Club. Why not give me a call at 613-687-8463, Brian at 613-687-4503, or Darlene at 613-735-6069.
If you are still looking Christmas cakes you can also get them at our bingo. They are $8 a pound (light or dark). You can buy them at: Petawawa ESSO and Bower’s ESSO & Grocery, or you can call Marie Arnold at 613-687-8463 and she will deliver to you or you can pick them up at her home.
We also have raffle tickets on sale for two Christmas Dinner hampers. First prize is a complete turkey dinner and second prize is a complete ham dinner, each with dessert and valued at $150. Third prize is an oil change, lube and filter and two gas vouchers, valued at $100. The cost per ticket is $5. The draw will be held Dec. 19 at our Civitan Bingo. Some members also have tickets for sale. Proceeds to go towards the wheelchair swing and the Phoenix Centre’s Bullying Program.
