News from the Petawawa Catholic Women’s League

The Petawawa Catholic Womens League recently had a Christmas Market at Our Lady of Sorrows church hall.

The Market was a replacement of our annual Christmas Tea which could not be offered this year due to Covid restrictions. However, the Christmas Market proved to be a great success and enjoyed by participants. We are absolutely grateful for all the donations, volunteers and those who attended our event.

Part of our event was the Raffles Table which produced many winners. The list is as follows: Diane Clouthier won a Nativity Set, Diane Brown won a two-tier server and four plates, J. LaFebvre won a phone handset, Julie Mallory won a gift basket of various items, Gloria Neville won a wooden cutting board, Barbara Burke won a Bless our Home wall hanging, Karen Mohns won the Osher hand blender, Susan Devereau won a holiday potpourri set, Randy K. won a car care kit, Julie Turcotte won a Godiva Masterpiece basket, Sheila Plebon won a red tablecloth and serviettes, Nicky Steele won a pedestal cake plate, Janice won four “For the Moment” mugs, Susan Devereau won a Sweet Revelations Chocolate Platter, Kathy Byrne won an oversized throw, DanVisutski won the Good Grips Spiralizer, Leah Teschner won a five piece votive candle set, A. Winner of the Early Bird CWL Membership Draw was Patricia Holst; and winner of the 50-50 Draw was Mart Budarick.

On December 6, CWL Members and guests enjoyed a very delicious Christmas Dinner at the Petawawa Legion.

On behalf of the Petawawa Catholic Women’s League, may I wish everyone a Merry Blessed Christmas and New Year.
