Town assists with doctor recruitment

The Town of Petawawa has gifted the Petawawa Centennial Family Health Centre (PCFHC) with $10,000 to help with their doctor recruitment initiatives. This money has helped hire Doctor Jay Dahman who is now the centre’s paediatrician. He will be available for telehealth and in-person appointments. Hired alongside him is a new registered nurse. Though the demand for health care professionals is high, paediatricians are especially important in Petawawa where about 40 per cent of its residents are under 18. Currently, he is the only paediatrician working in Renfrew County.
