The Petawawa Catholic Women’s League held their first general meeting for 2025 on February 2, presided over by the new President Jody Anne McDonald.
We wish to say welcome and thank you to Jody as our new President and wish her blessings in her new chapter.
Prior to the CWL Meeting, Father Dobec officiated the Installation of the new Executive for 2025 and 2026 The Executive also includes: Eva Brushett, Natalie Tosello, Joanne Jefferies, Donna Visniski, Julie Mallory, Marion McFarlane, Kim Clouthier, Patricia Holst and Vel LeBlanc.
In the coming months the members will be organizing the Women’s World Day of Prayer on Friday March 7 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows church, Mohns Ave., Petawawa. In addition, the Pembroke Diocesan Convention will be hosted by Petawawa CWL on Saturday, May 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows church.
Friendship Sundays will be celebrated during February and March following Sunday Mass. Dates are to be confirmed. The next General Meeting is March 2, following the 10 a.m. Mass.

La Ligue catholique des femmes de Petawawa a tenu sa première réunion générale de 2025 le 2 février, sous la présidence de Jody Anne McDonald, nouvellement élue.
Nous souhaitons la bienvenue et remercions Jody pour son engagement en tant que présidente. Nous lui adressons nos bénédictions pour ce nouveau chapitre.
Avant la réunion de la Ligue catholique des femmes, le père Dobec a officié l’installation du nouvel exécutif pour 2025 et 2026. Dans les mois à venir, les membres organiseront la Journée mondiale de prière des femmes le vendredi 7 mars à 15 h à l’église Our Lady of Sorrows, avenue Mohns, à Petawawa. De plus, la convention diocésaine de Pembroke sera accueillie par la Ligue catholique des femmes de Petawawa le samedi 24 mai, de 8 h 30 à 15 h 30, également à l’église Our Lady of Sorrows.
Les Dimanches de l’amitié seront célébrés en février et mars après la messe dominicale. Les dates restent à confirmer. La prochaine réunion générale aura lieu le 2 mars, après la messe de 10 h.
